Area Photographers Return From International Conference With Vision Award and New Skills
Metairie, LA – For the third year, local photographers Marianne and Steve Sabrier of The Red M Studio participated in Shutterfest. Shutterfest is an international photography conference held each year in St. Louis, Missouri focusing on skill building through traditional lectures, community collaboration and hands-on shooting.
In building their business, the Sabriers have embraced continuing education as a core business strategy to improve the art they deliver to their clients. This year Shutterfest afforded The Red M Studio opportunity to compete in the annual image competition. The accompanying image, The Future Looks Sunny and Bright, was judged by a panel of industry leaders to be worthy of merit and granted a Shutterfest Vision Award.
“Shutterfest gives us access to industry experts that is not typically afforded at most other photography conferences. Our interactions with these leaders are invaluable and have resulted in lasting relationships we can call upon for advice well beyond the conference.” explained Marianne Sabrier.
In addition to traditional lectures the Sabriers participated in hands-on work shops illustrating new lighting techniques. and received, a favorable portfolio review by celebrated San Francisco photographer Bambi Cantrell.
