This is the story of two theater majors, cast as supporting characters in a play, spending lots of time together backstage waiting for their stage time while the sparks of their friendship began to ignite into a full blown love story! Yes, when Maddy and Brandon got married in New Orleans last month, it was the grand finale of that story, or it may have been the opening act of a whole new story, but, nonetheless, it was a truly amazing story!!. I couldn’t help but think that when Maddy chose to slip on her dress in the backroom at the Napoleon House rather than at her hotel, it was a place where she was perfectly at home … backstage with her closest friends and family, waiting to make her grand entrance. And when she did, there were so many tears of joy, and so much wonderful emotion, particularly when Brandon surprised everyone by singing his vows.

There couldn’t have been a more appropriate setting for these two creatives to wed. The 200 year old historic Napoleon House is known as one of the most famous bars in America and has been known as a haunt for artists and writers throughout most of the 20th century. Decorated with a simple array of yellow flowers and candlelight from Fat Cat Flowers, the venue was warm and welcoming. All of the out of town guests had a wonderful time celebrating and cheering on the newlyweds. Congratulations again to Maddy and Brandon and wishing you many, many anniversary encores!
