Jodi + Eric – Married

Ooowee, it is hot in New Orleans in late June, so it is quite befitting that a firehouse played a major part in the pre-wedding festivities for Jodi and Eric!  Even more befitting is that the bride is a true architecture aficionado, so capturing the architectural aspects of Engine 24, a refurbished firehouse turned bed and breakfast in the New Orleans Bywater area, were a must for her!  After capturing all the stunning pre-wedding details, we dashed over to the House of Broel, another beautiful architectural gem located on magnificent St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, to await the bride’s arrival.  The wedding ceremony took place in the lush green courtyard of the beautiful Victorian mansion, and was followed by a reception that featured lots of personal touches, including kingcake in lieu of traditional wedding cake, complete with New Orleans themed cake pulls, and a Star Trek cake for the groom (obviously a Trekkie).  I do believe that everyone had an amazing time!  As most New Orleans parties do, the bride and groom wrapped things up by leading a second line around the mansion then found their way out the front door, hopped into their awaiting carriage and were whisked off to happily ever after!
