We love food! We love to talk about it, cook it, photograph it, and heaven knows we eat way too much of it … so the thought of anyone not having enough to eat is just about unbearable to Steve and me. Whenever we get a chance to do something that helps eliminate hunger in our community, we are all over that like white on rice! So when we saw this billboard advertising Auctions in August, we had to get involved to help out one of our favorite non-profits, the St. Joseph Rebuild Center, that feeds and ministers to the homeless in the New Orleans community.
Over the past 6 years, Gulf Coast Bank’s Auctions in August has raised over $500,000 for more than 350 local, state-wide and national non-profits. All proceeds collected from each item go directly to support the non-profit the donor chooses. Nearly 900 items are now available for bidding at each of the 17 branches as well as online at www.auctionsinaugust.com. The auction features something for everyone including gift certificates for restaurants, hotel stays, spa excursions, gift baskets, paintings, jewelry, sports memorabilia & much more!
Check out our auction item … you could get a photo shoot!
We are offering for bid, a one hour photo session at an outdoor location of your choice within 45 miles of New Orleans and a 16×24 inch fine art gallery wrapped canvas benefiting Lantern Light Ministries at the St. Joseph Rebuild Center. What can you do? Go to Auctions in August and bid high and bid often! When you get there, search for Lantern Light Ministries under non-profits to find our item.
