Come out and pick your perfect pumpkin, and get photographed for free during the food drive benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans and Acadiana at the St. Martin’s Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch. While monetary donations or donations of non-perishable food items will be gladly accepted, they are not required to receive a photograph. We will be on hand to create free commemorative photos of children and families during their visit. The participants’ photos will be inset into a Halloween themed template and delivered via email. Photographs will be taken October 23rd and 24th from 3:00pm until 6:00pm and on October 25th from 11:00am until 3:00pm.
Last year, our efforts working with St. Martin’s at this event resulted in donations of $484 and 109 pounds of food collected. That’s 1,543 meals provided to the community. Our intention this year is help them raise enough funds and non-perishable food to provide in excess of 1750 meals.
The Pumpkin Patch is located at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 2216 Metairie Rd.
